About- Established on 24 December 1955; 63 years ago Jadavpur University is a public state university located in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. The National Institutional Ranking Framework has ranked it 12 among engineering institutes in India in 2019, 13 overall and 6th among universities. JU has achieved autonomous university status by UGC in 2018.

Campus- Jadavpur University is semi-residential, which at present operates out of two urban campuses: one in Jadavpur (58 acres (230,000 m2)) and another in Salt Lake (26 acres (110,000 m2)).

Facilities- Once you apply and take admission, you have to pay Rs. 3000, which includes the mess fee. Additionally, the monthly rent is Rs. 15 and the electricity is charged at Rs. 10 per month. Everyone gets a single room. Mess food is good. Very fast internet service.

Courses- Jadavpur University offers various Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral Programs in the field of Arts, Science, Engineering & Technology, Architecture, and Pharmacy.

Admission procedure- Admission to B.Pharm., B.Tech. and B.Arch. is done on the basis of WBJEE scores.

WBJEE 2021 Counselling Process-
West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) conducts WBJEE counseling in online mode.
The process involves online registration for WBJEE counseling, choice filling and choice locking followed by the seat allotment process for admission in engineering and pharmacy colleges in the state of West Bengal.
Those who will secure a rank will become eligible to participate in the counseling. WBJEE Board will conduct 3 rounds of seat allotment for candidates who qualify WBJEE 2019.
Qualified JEE Main 2019 candidates will also be eligible for WBJEE counseling. After the announcement of WBJEE 2019 Result, West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board will announce the schedule of WBJEE e-counseling sessions on its official website. To participate, candidates will have to register themselves on the official website of the WBJEE Board and pay a registration fee. The counseling process is followed by the seat allotment, which candidates will be able to check on the official website of WBJEEB. The seat allotment is done based on the choice of colleges/courses and rank obtained by candidates in WBJEE.
